Cooked Last Night – Stone Crab and Basil Marinara

October 6, 2010

On Saturday, Sean and I went to Rochester’s Farmers Market and we picked up some live stone crabs! Ok, I’m excited about that, because stone crabs are rarely sold live. Especially outside of Florida and Texas. And they were only $2 per pound! A steal. So I boiled them:

I look quite like a maniac. But they were delicious. And we at the first one standing up in Sean’s kitchen. The second and third were de-shelled, and sautéed in butter, with a tbsp of white wine and basil. I mixed it in with spaghetti and a little chunky red sauce, and we ate it. Good, good, good.
